Rod Lift

Rod lift anomalies consist of the following three different anomalies.

Fluid Load Anomaly

Holding the 3-day average on SPM constant, if the fluid load starts to decline from the weekly moving average the anomaly will trip.

Pump Fillage Anomaly

Holding the 3-day average on SPM constant, if the pump fillage starts to decline from the weekly moving average the anomaly will trip.

Both pump fillage and fluid load anomalies will be impacted by increases in gas production, this is flagged through the GOR increase anomaly.

Stroke Speed Anomaly

Fluctuations in strokes per minute and pumping off will be flagged. As pump fillage is the setpoint on the well, if the well is unable to reach the set point the well will pump-off. Displaying SPM in context of productivity index declines better informs the setpoints on the well.
